Shower Butter Floor Prank Video | Girlfriend Prank Is Funny But Also Downright Dangerous

Posted: 06 Feb 2010 10:23 AM PST

I’m not a fan of pranks. Never have been, likely never will. They’re tolerable when being done on complete strangers on the Web, naturally, but if I’m involved at all I hate it, even if I’m not the one being pranked.

That’s why I hate Ashton Kutcher, who made his name being a douchebag by pranking people, and why I really don’t like this video. The problem is I can’t stop myself from watching it.

Most pranks are a bit of fun, with the chances of serious injury negligible. Mainly because people aren’t so stupid as to risk someone’s wellbeing for a quick laugh. But not this one; no, this one is downright dangerous.

The guy could have slipped a different way and hit his head on the side of the shower or the wall. And that would have resulted in a serious head injury or even death. Ha ha ha, how funny, I killed my boyfriend by spreading butter on the bathroom floor. I think that’s the very definition of manslaughter.

McClure’s Pickles Ad Video | The Apple Sisters Extol The Virtues Of Hot And Spicy Pickles

Posted: 06 Feb 2010 04:20 AM PST

McClure’s Pickles are set to explode onto the world as they become more famed for their delicious hot and spicy taste.

This video shows an ad for the product featuring The Apple Sisters and Bob McClure himself. It has a retro feel which would only be right considering The Apple Sisters’ act, but also sells McClure’s Pickles really well.

McClure’s Pickles are produced in both Brooklyn and Detroit. And if you reside in either of those places you can order McClure’s Pickles for home delivery. Otherwise you’ll have to find a retailer that stocks them or order online.

McClure’s Pickles began in 2006 when the two brothers used their great grandmother’s recipe to produce the pickles, relish, and mustard which is increasingly in demand around the U.S.

And I must admit they look yummy.

Morgan Freeman Hates Black History Month (Video) | Says It’s Ridiculous on 60 Minutes

Posted: 05 Feb 2010 08:04 PM PST

“Black history is American history.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Now all we have to to is get every history teacher in the United States to realize this.

Mike Wallace, like most Americans I know, doesn’t understand why some blacks don’t like Black History Month. As Freeman explains in the interview, he doesn’t see why a month of history should be set aside for people of a certain skin pigmentation.

It’s the 21st century and why is it that a white man is just “a man” in American and a black man is a “black man?” The sooner we stop with these labels the better for everyone. I say abolish Black History Month.

Watch Awesome BBC Documentary ‘Swarm’ Video | Nature’s Incredible Animal & Insect Invasions

Posted: 05 Feb 2010 05:18 PM PST

From bees to locusts and beyond, when creatures swarm together in massive numbers, encountering humans is rarely a good thing – for us.

Of course they had to start with the killer bees…

I love documentaries, but this one definitely had me squirming around a bit. Eww. There is something about watching such a mass of insects that makes me feel gross.

My personal feelings aside, swarms are amazing things, aren’t they? Whether it be insects or something more, masses of anything coming together is always a sight to behold.

Now if only there were a way we could figure out how to keep them from swarming around us…

Watch ‘Dear John’ Movie Review Video | One More Nicholas Sparks Sappy Film

Posted: 05 Feb 2010 04:45 PM PST

Looking for a sappy romance movie that is likely to make you cry on Valentine’s Day? Then why not head off to the theater to watch the latest Nicholas Sparks novel adaptation: Dear John.

As you can see from this video, Gina from Haunted Flower found this movie to be a shallow, tear-jerker without a lot of talented acting to hold it up.

I haven’t seen the movie, so I can’t really say much about it, but I agree about what she says from what I’ve seen in the trailers.

What is probably a lovely book about life, love and sacrifice has been turned into what looks like a less than stellar movie.

Wanda Sykes Grills NBC For Serving Fried Chicken (Video) | Black History Month Menu

Posted: 05 Feb 2010 01:06 PM PST

I still can’t believe this is real. Apparently Wanda Sykes found out that NBC had a “Black History Month” menu and wasn’t to pleased about it.

It’s not that the food was bad, it’s just that the context it’s presented in is sort of, well, racist.

First, the whole fiasco with Conan and Leno and now some subliminal racism? I have to agree with Wanda on this one, all of NBC must be on drugs right now to let this slide.

I’ll admit, Black History month is a weird time of the year for just about everyone. It’s not really a holiday, so there isn’t a specific type of food that’s associated with it. Still, pairing the word “black” and “fried chicken” on the same menu might not be the best way to celebrate.

Pelican Attacks Australian Weatherman Video | Live TV Broadcast Goes Bad

Posted: 05 Feb 2010 12:27 PM PST

Just a few days ago Australian TV reminded us of the dangers of live broadcasting when a bank employee was spotted checking out sexy photos of Miranda Kerr during the finance report.

Now an Aussie weatherman has been interrupted live on air by a very hungry pelican.

I’m sure a live cross from Sydney's Taronga Zoo seemed like a good idea at the time, but it quickly took a turn for the worst when the pelican spied dinner.

It took some effort to coax the sea bird away from the clearly shaken reporter, whose girly screams were as entertaining as the pelican’s persistence!
