Glenn Beck Vs. James Cameron Video | Right Wing Fox Host Responds To Avatar Director

Posted: 25 Mar 2010 11:58 AM PDT

I know a lot of people like Glenn Back, what he stands for, what he says, and how he acts. But I don’t In fact, I find him one of the most odious little men on TV, with a highly punchable face.

And James Cameron feels the same way, having carried around with him a joke Beck made at his expense three years ago. Then again, Beck did call Cameron “pure evil” and “the anti-Christ.”

This video shows Beck addressing Cameron’s recent declaration that Beck hates him, referring to that aforementioned joke as the reason.

Beck takes a pop at Cameron for holding on to that one comment for so many years despite being focused on making the $1 billion-plus movie Avatar, which Beck refers to as “a Smurf murdering movie.”

The only piece of the video I agree with Beck on are his comments concerning what Cameron said about climate change deniers. Surely we can all believe what we want, without a film director telling us what to think?

Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G Review (Video) | 4G Phone Price & Battery Life Revealed

Posted: 25 Mar 2010 08:57 AM PDT

So here we have a video review of Sprint’s new 4G phone. It runs off of the Android Platform and looks to be a major iPhone killer.

One of the coolest (and most known) features of the phone is Friend Stream which allows users to get social networking updates on-the-fly (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc).

Some major uprgades from the previous model include a 720p camera (with HDMI output) and the ability to host up to 8 other devices as a WiFi hotspot, supporting up to 8 devices.

Expected battery life is anywhere from 15-48 hours depending on whether you enable all the features (4G, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, etc.) at the same time.

Bush Wipes Hand On Clinton Video | Former President Doesn’t Like Sweaty Haitians

Posted: 25 Mar 2010 06:53 AM PDT

I was never what you’d call a fan of George W. Bush when he was in office. In fact, I couldn’t stand the illiterate idiot. Still, he’s out of office now, and using his world standing to help others, so surely he’ll redeem himself somewhat.

He did what? Oh. Oh dear. Oh well.

Yes, you saw right. When George W. Bush and Bill Clinton recently visited Haiti to draw attention to the victims of the Haiti earthquake, Bush is caught being incredibly rude and ignorant to one of the people he meets.

He shakes his hand, and then immediately wipes his own hand on Clinton’s shirt. Nice one, George. Really subtle.

Bush has been accused of racism for this, but I suspect it was more about the fact the hand he shook was sweaty. That doesn’t make what he did right but it’s clearly not as bad as some people are suggesting.

Google Quits Mainland China (Video) | Fed Up With Privacy And Censorship Issues

Posted: 24 Mar 2010 09:14 PM PDT

Why this isn’t a bigger news story in the US is a mystery to me. Google and China have been at it for years concerning censorship of their search engine. They’ve uncovered government-sponsored attacks since 2008 and even had YouTube blocked.

But now they’ve had enough. Google will no longer hold it’s operations in mainland China and will instead reside in Hong Kong.

Given the fact that China is communist, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Things like privacy issues are always more individualistic- which are against the basic principles of communism.

It’s really too bad that this sort of setback has to occur in 2010. I imagine that Google has just lost billions of dollars in potential profit by making this decision.

Strange Kitty Wigs Book Video | Cats Humiliated By Humans

Posted: 24 Mar 2010 04:17 PM PDT

Just when I thought humans could humiliate their pets no further I discovered the phenomenon of kitty wigs.

It’s all pretty self explanatory. Take one cat, slap a brightly colored wig on its furry noggin and you’ve got yourself one silly photo. Or many silly photos it seems, as a book celebrating kitty wigs has been released.

This interview shows the book’s creator Julie Jackson and photographer Jill Johnson trying to convince us that the “glamour pusses” involved love the project. Excuse me if I’m not persuaded, but I don’t think haughty felines really love anything of the sort!

Live-Action ‘A Goofy Movie’ Remake Video | Real-Life Version Of Disney’s ‘After Today’

Posted: 24 Mar 2010 02:34 PM PDT

What would it look like if someone, somewhere, for some strange reason, decided to remake part of Disney’s A Goofy Movie using live-action? It would look like this of course, because someone, somewhere, for some strange reason has done just that.

This video shows a shot-for-shot remake of the whole After Today sequence from A Goofy Movie. And we even get to see the corresponding shots in the bottom left of the screen.

It’s magnificently done, and all, according to the video itself, on a $100 budget, using one borrowed camera and Final Cut Studio.

There is, of course, absolutely no reason to have embarked on this, except for the fact that it’s ultra cool. And we get to see the final product without having had to put in any of the hard work. Ah, the pleasures of online video.
