Seattle Cop Punches Woman (Video) | Justified Force For Jaywalking?

Posted: 16 Jun 2010 08:47 AM PDT

Whenever a “police brutality” video surfaces I’m always surprised by the number of people that side with the cop. The last time I checked, jaywalking wasn’t probably cause to get arrested or punched in the face.

Witnesses pictured in the video have stated that a crosswalk was only 15 feet away from where the lady had jaywalked. Had the cop been taken out of this scenario, then all would be fine. The woman would have crossed the street and nobody would be hurt.

Of course, there are always those people that say cops should “never be treated in such a way” but when it comes down to it, police are people just like us. A uniform shouldn’t give you power to enforce for the sake of enforcing- there should be a real purpose behind it.

If anything, this incident proves how ridiculous jaywalking laws are.

Cop Punches Woman Video | Police Officer Uses Force When Jay Walker Resists Arrest

Posted: 16 Jun 2010 08:37 AM PDT

This video is all kinds of wrong. No one comes out of it well.

This video shows the aftermath of a cop wanting to talk to a girl for jay walking. Which is my first problem. Why does the U.S. have a law against crossing the road? I’ve always found that to be bizarre.

The girl doesn’t come quietly, refusing to stand still and be spoken to. Why? Just let the officer do his job. And her friend then gets involved, pushing the officer and acting like a complete and utter idiot. Why?

Then comes the punch which has led this video to become big news. The police officer should not have thrown a punch; not because it’s a woman he’s punching, but because it’s someone in his custody. If a woman can resist arrest then she’s no different than a man.

None of the parties seen in this video come out looking good. And it shows how bad things are out there.

Justice Crew Win “Australia’s Got Talent” Video | Dance Troupe Take Out Aussie Talent Search

Posted: 16 Jun 2010 12:36 AM PDT

Dance troupe Justice Crew has taken out this year’s hotly contested season of Australia’s Got Talent. This mind-blowing routine shows you how they won the hearts of the nation.

Justice Crew dance in a way that we’ve never seen before, and they do it with such amazing precision. It’s impossible not to be impressed by their slick routines which blend comedy with flawless moves. It’s amazing to know that these boys are self-taught.

As if we needed another reason to love them, the lads who knew what it was like to not afford their own dance lessons now teach disadvantaged youths their moves for free. The prize money couldn't have gone to nicer chaps!

‘Dial Star’ Struggling Actress Web Series | By 90210 Director & Star AnnaLynne McCord

Posted: 15 Jun 2010 09:16 PM PDT

Dial Star is NBC’s latest web series directed by Fred Gerber (“Desperate Housewives,” “Greek,” “90210″), written by Aury Wallington (“Sex and the City,” “Veronica Mars”), and even includes appearances by the beautiful 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord.

“Dial Star” centers around Celia (Audra Griffis), a struggling young actress who accidentally stumbles upon AnnaLynne McCord’s phone and gains access to the exclusive world of Hollywood.

So what separates “Dial Star” from any other series of it’s kind? Nothing really, but if you’ve got 3 minutes to kill and prefer eye-candy to an original plot, then this series is worth a watch.

Here’s the first episode that just premiered today. There are 10 episodes planned for the season- each less than 4 minutes in length.

Watch Awesome Animated Jamie Collum’s Jazz ‘Twenty Something’ Video

Posted: 15 Jun 2010 07:47 PM PDT

An awesome jazzy song with fun, simple animations all about getting lost (and found) in the twenty-somethings quarter life crisis.

I’m not sure what I like more about this video: that I totally relate to the feelings of being a twenty-something or the music.

Yeah, I’m going to go with the music.

I have never heard of Jamie Collum before, but if this is a decent show of his talent, then I’m definitely going to be searching for more of his work.

By the way, ‘quarter life crisis’ is a real thing these days and there are support groups out there if you’re having a rough time.

A one-year subscription will run you $49.99, while a three-month subscription will cost $16.99. It will be up to true PS users and diehard fans to decide whether or not the service is worth the price.

PlayStation Plus launches later this month.

How To Pull A Tooth Out Video | It’s Not The Usual Way To Hook It Up To A Rocket

Posted: 15 Jun 2010 01:38 PM PDT

This video shows how to pull a tooth out. Well, actually it shows a very alternative method for doing so, and not one I’d recommend to anyone. But it does make for a fun experiment for the kids.

I had my first tooth out as an adult a couple of months ago. I went to the dentist, they deadened the area, and then got to work with some pliers. It wasn’t pleasant.

Maybe I missed a trick?

This kid decides that if his tooth is coming out then it might as well come out in as cool a way as possible. So he gets his dad to hook it up to a rocket which he then fires into the sky.

The rocket does the job, and the tooth sails skywards with it. And all, seemingly, without any pain. Maybe this could catch on. But I think I’ll pass.
