Marilyn Monroe Coffee Art Video | Hollywood Bombshell Recreated at Australian Aroma Festival Posted: 31 Jul 2010 04:07 PM PDT Last year we saw the folks at Australia’s Aroma Festival in Sydney recreating the Mona Lisa. This year they were at it again, making another more contemporary piece of art: the likeness of Marilyn Monroe. It took 5200 cups of latte, long black, and flat white to achieve this extraordinary piece. I loved the Mona Lisa, but I think this year’s work may be even better. Now before you whine about the waste associated with such an endeavor, it’s important to note that all milk was on its use by date, and where possible the coffee was too. Each cup also contained a seed card, which was given to locals watching the dismantling of the piece. Just think how many trees will be planted thanks to all those cups of coffee!

Homemade Firecracker Fail Video | When Something Literally Blows Up In Your Face Posted: 31 Jul 2010 03:25 PM PDT This guy is an absolute idiot. His first mistake is making his own firecracker, his second is to go back to it after it failed to explode, his third is sticking it in his mouth like it was some strange brand of cigar. And yes, the inevitable happens. I’m guessing I’m not alone in having been taught how to safely use fireworks. As a kid, it would happen every year before Bonfire Night, with parents and teachers both giving dire warnings as to the danger of handling fireworks. I’m guessing this guy was absent on every occasion, as it’s the only explanation for his stupid behavior. Still, it makes for a funny video. So there’s always a silver lining.
