Kate Spade 'All Typed Up Clyde' crossbody satchel

Spade

Sadly, not a working vintage typewriter, but still a talking point - the Kate Spade 'All Typed Up Clyde' crossbody satchel.

It's a very eye-catching retro-styled bag, made of light textured leather, with patent leather handles, an optional strap and of course, featuring those keys, which you want to reach out and press, even on the picture.

Finished off with an exterior zip-around pocket, several interior pockets and a custom jacquard lining, it sells at Nordstrom for $495, or if you are in the UK, £326.47. No, quirky doesn't come cheap in this case.

Personalised destination print by Betsy Benn

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 07:52 AM PST

Betsy travel
The destination lists for trains, trams and buses are a surprisingly common source of inspiration for homewares, cropping up on cushionsblinds and, of course, art. You've now got the opportunity to create your own dream journey thanks to this Personalised destination print by Betsy Benn

Executed in a similar style to her London weekend print using the traditional typography used for transport, the difference here is that you get to pick up to 14 lines for inclusion. These could be cities that you've visited or places that you've lived but you could also move away from the travel theme to include things such as your family's names - the world is your oyster really.

As you might expect, orders have already been pretty busy for Christmas, so get your request in quickly. The print costs £52.

Biscuit

As you might know, this year we're celebrating 30 years of Pac-Man, which has seen a glut of weird and wonderful merchandise. But nothing quite so odd as these Pac-Man Cookie Cutters at Suck UK.

Yes, you can cut our own biscuits in the shape of arcade-based ghosts. It does make sense - they've been getting eaten for the last three decades. There are four cutters in the pack, three ghosts and one Pac-Man, all officially licensed and set to hit the shelves (and baking trays) very soon.

£12 will get you a set. You can register at the site to be told when they're available. Or you can check out over the page for a photo of a plate of Pac-Man biscuits. Yum!

Ingela P Arrhenius tea towels at Lagom

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 05:44 AM PST

Img_drawYour kitchen would be overflowing if you bought all of the tea towel designs we recommended to you, but when, like the Ingela P Arrhenius tea towels at Lagom, they're an affordable way to buy great design they are hard to resist.

You may remember Ingela's name as we featured her retro-styled artwork for kids a little while back. Here she translates those 1950s and 60s influence into something for the grown-ups too. Like the Lotta Kuhlhorn design we also flagged up, this tea towel is based around a well-stocked kitchen cupboard. Mixing in some colourful retro kitchenware, it's sure to brighten up the dullest spot of washing up.

Printed onto 100% linen, it costs £10.52.

Cressida Bell Ibis Cushions

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 05:39 AM PST

  Ibiscushions

British textile and interiors designer, Cressida Bell has an enviable heritage in the arts – her grandmother was the artist Vanessa Bell and Virginia Woolf was her aunt. With such Bloomsbury Group luminaries as family, it is inevitable that hints of their style would be apparent in Cressida's work, but her designs have enough charm in their own right, as you can see from these Ibis Cushions.

Available in a choice of red or blue, the cushion covers hand printed on 100% linen and feature a quirky vintage-style illustration of the Ibis bird. The cushion covers are sold without pads, but fit a 41cm square cushion. Buy the cushions online directly from Cressida Bell's website, priced £41 each.

eBay watch: First issue of The Face magazine from 1980

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 04:56 AM PST

Face

Early editions of magazines are always sought-after - so this first issue of The Face magazine from 1980 is currently a real steal.

This 'style bible' (as it liked to be thought of) dates from 1980, with editing by Nick Logan, art direction by Nevile Brody and a writing team that included Julie Burchill, Ian Dury and Adrian Thrills. This particular also had articles on The Specials, The Clash, Madness, Public Image and Dexys Midnight Runners. Top notch imagery too.

It's described as being in 'near mint' condition with 'very slight wear on spine and very slight creases on top of rear few pages', nothing more. All of that for just 99p right now. Like I said, a real steal.
