THE BEST SPY TV SHOWS OF THE 1960S!

Posted: 11 Jan 2011 08:21 PM PST

The Avengers was my Mom's favorite.
I liked it if Emma Peel was in the episode.

Otherwise John Steed could be a little dry.
Wasn't Emma the hottest thing? Check this out!

Secret Agent wasn't Patrick McGoohan great?
No matter what show he stole every scene he was in.
Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, The Prisoner, Columbo,
and this show Secret Agent aka Danger Man

Get Smart was a stupid show but it was meant to be dumb.
Funny and dumb. I enjoyed the rest of the cast more
than Don Adams as Maxwell Smart,
I thought he was annoying actually.
Loved Barbara Feldon!
Loved her hair and her clothes!

I Spy This show was too dry for me but my older brother liked it a lot.

Mission Impossible Second Season was the best! Just loved Martin Landau and real life wife Barbara Bain. this cast was awesome! Rent this season you'll love it.

Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Oh how I loved this show! For one reason only... Illya Nickovetch Kuryakin the character from the 1960s TV spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. The series was remarkable for pairing an American Napoleon Solo and the Russian Kuryakin as two spies who work together for an international espionage organization at the height of The Cold War.

Here is a fabulous little video on all the great 1960's spy shows

The Who's Roger Daltrey Joins Mark Farner for Benefit at B. B. Kings

Watch for Mark Farner on Fox TV's Huckabee January 15 and 16

(New York, NY) – The entertainment industry at large has long been a leader in helping those in need with benefit concerts and charity events. On Monday January 17, 2011 at B. B. Kings in New York City, rock legends will join together in support of Jesse Farner as he struggles to recuperate from a severe neck injury after a fall last summer. The concert will be held in conjunction with the New York Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp festivities and will include rock legends participating in the camp plus the Kryptonite rock of 3 Doors Down.

Jesse Farner is the twenty-one year old son of rock's legendary frontman Mark Farner and his wife Lesia. Mark Farner is best known as founding member/lead singer/guitarist/songwriter of Grand Funk Railroad, the band that sold out Shea Stadium faster than The Beatles and sold over 50 million records worldwide.

When hearing of Jesse Farner's plight from Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp founder, David Fishof, Roger Daltrey of The Who stepped up immediately in support of the family.

"I'm humbled to be able to help Jesse and the Farners in any way I can," began Daltrey. "We are all very fortunate, in our business, to be able to give back. And sometimes circumstances demand that we give back to our brothers and sisters in the rock and roll business. Rock for Jesse calls us to do just that for our friends the Farner family," he concluded.

Mark Farner commented on Daltrey's participation stating, "Roger is a man's man with a good heart and that means more to me than anything either of us has accomplished in music. On behalf of our son Jesse and family, the Farner's extend our gratitude to Roger and his family, Cliff Williams of AC/DC, 3 Doors Down, Kip Winger and our friends and fans in rock and roll."

Tickets for the event are available through Ticketmaster. Included in ticket price (early VIP seating, meet and greet with Mark Farner and friends). Tickets for the benefit are $300 www.ticketmaster.com Donations can be made directly by visiting www.sweetrelief.org For Information on Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp www.rockcamp.com
