Polaroid Camera Set at Urban Outfitters

Posted: 02 May 2011 10:41 AM PDT

Polaroid

We've still not seen the Lady Gaga Polaroid cameras in the shops, so if you want to go Polaroid right now, you'll have to buy something like this Polaroid Camera Set at Urban Outfitters.

Sadly, Urban Outfitters doesn't give the full model details of the camera in question. We've done some hunting round and not found an exact copy - if you are an expert, feel free to drop a comment below.

But it does offer all the classic Polaroid functionality, with instant snaps developed in front of your eyes in minutes, with some modern-day PX film from Impossible Project thrown in to get you started. A handy flash too, for poor light snaps. £120 is the price of the set, but be warned - refill film packs (also available at Urban Outfitters), do cost £25 each.

eBay watch: Vintage Airstream caravan

Posted: 02 May 2011 10:16 AM PDT

Airstream

We have featured recent models of these, but at a price in excess of £35,000, a new one is out of the reach of most of us. Alternatively, you can rent one for a holiday or you can bid for this vintage Airstream caravan on eBay.

Details are limited on this particular listing, but there are plenty of pictures to tell the story. The few details available say this is a 1976, 31ft, Airstream caravan that has 'just been imported' and is available for delivery. The downside is the state of the inside - let's just say a full refurbishment is required.

But with the price of those new ones being so high, this old model could prove something of a profitable project if you wish to take it on. £3,000 is the price. See the listing for lots of inside shots.

For sale: Mary Medd-designed, modernist-inspired Sewell's Orchard house in Tewin, Hertfordshire

It's 'use your imagination' time here, because this Mary Medd-designed Sewell's Orchard house in Tewin, Hertfordshire has a touch of the 'granny' about it inside, despite its modernist roots.

Mary Medd worked with prominent modern movement architect Erno Goldfinger. From 1934 - 1936, with this house dating to the earlier of those years. She originally designed the house, one of a set of three, for her parents, with inspiration taken from the architect's visit to the Stockholm Exhibition of 1930. It's also grade II-listed due to its architectural importance and is available to buy for the first time in 31 years.

The house hasn't really got the interior you would hope, but that's probably down to the furnishing and decoration. The original design has, by and large been respected, so it should be fairly easy to put the 'period' back in.

It's a four / five-bedroomed, west-facing house, designed with all living space to the back, to make full advantage of the views and aspect. Aside from those bedrooms, there's also a living room, a large family room (approximately 437 sq ft), dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, and a double garage. Big gardens too, up to 130 ft of mainly lawn, plus a sought-after location.

You do have to pay all for all of that though, £975,000 to be precise.

Star Wars Chop Sabers

Posted: 02 May 2011 09:10 AM PDT

Chop

The title pretty much says it all - these are indeed Star Wars Chop Sabers.

Imported from Japan and officially licensed from the Lucas empire, they are mini / skinny Jedi weapons that sadly don't light up, but they do operated as chopsticks, should you have a thing for far eastern cuisine (and Star Wars movies).

There's a choice of Darth Maul or Luke, with a pair setting you back £9.99.
