Calfhairgloves

When it comes to the smaller accessories it's often much easier to get away with a bigger statement, which is perfect for the more daring retro looks out there. These Leopard Print Driving Gloves from Agent Provocateur provide a lot of luxury in one small package, with an obvious vintage influence thrown in.

Gloves may have fallen out of regular favour, but a pair like these are good enough to find an occasion for. Made from a leopard print calf hair fabric, the red accents add a kitschy retro glamour that avoids being tacky thanks to the superb cut and quality.

They're available online from Net-a-Porter for £250.

eBay watch: 1970s modernist wall clock

Posted: 17 Aug 2011 06:35 AM PDT

Modernist

Very distinctive and very much of its era - this 1970s modernist wall clock.

Produced by the London Clock Company, it has a futuristic 1970s look, aided by a face that's 'industrial brushed' plated sheet metal, with cube markers made of matt black plastic. There's also a German mechanism inside to keep it ticking over (alongside a single battery).

The seller claims it is in 'excellent condition' and 'good accurate working order', although the bottom left hand corner has a 'tiny impact dent' that is 'barely visible at all'. Fancy it? Bidding stands at £12.95.

Limited edition Adidas x Star Wars Skywalker boots

Posted: 17 Aug 2011 05:53 AM PDT

Luke

Looks like Adidas is still persevering with its Star Wars range, although these Adidas x Star Wars Skywalker boots might have a little more appeal for movie die-hards than some of the range we've seen.

I'll be honest, I'm a passing rather than an obsessive Star Wars fan, so I'll have to take the maker's word for it that these are based on Luke's uniform whilst on planet Hoth. Obviously with an old school Adidas twist, along with contrast lacing and stripes, Luke Skywalker tongue details and 'toy' packaging.

Highly limited, they're yours for £99.

Eileen Gray E1027 Side Table

Posted: 17 Aug 2011 02:28 AM PDT

E1027
Plenty of side tables have this minimalist combination of chrome and glass, but this is the original Eileen Gray E1027 Side Table, a true design classic.

It shares its name with the summer house Eileen Gray built for herself and her collaborator, Jean Badovici. The name is a code for their relationship; E for Eileen, 10 for Jean (J being the 10th letter of the alphabet), 2 for Badovici and 7 for Gray. The table is adjustable so it can be moved into various positions and uses. The frame is always made from chromium-plated steel, but the table tops are available in crystal clear glass, smoked glass or black lacquered metal.

Prices range from £575 to £685 from Aram.
