Frank1

The next group of Lego Architecture sets has just landed, with the highlight for us being Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House. Yes, you can build it yourself.

The full name is Frederick C. Robie House, which was built in 1910 in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, a leading example of Frank Lloyd Wright's 'Prairie-style' work, which in turn is said to be the first truly American style of housebuiding - hugely influential on the rest of the 20th century.

It's long, it is narrow and it covers 9,062 sq. ft. Obviously the model is much smaller, but it a replica of the original, with 2,276 pieces, ideal for the architect within on a rainy weekend. Sold with a booklet that's packed with details on its design and history, it sells for £169.99.

Fujifilm X10 retro-styled camera launches

Posted: 02 Sep 2011 06:22 AM PDT

Fuj1

It's probably not going to be the cheapest camera on the market, but the Fujifilm X10 will undoubtedly be one of the coolest snappers around.

It looks like a vintage camera, with those looks straight out of the 1960s. But this is modern technology in all but looks, packing a 12-megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor, along with a high definition F2.0 wide-angle and F2.8 telephoto Fujinon 4x manual zoom lens.

Fuj2

There's also dial control for aperture, zoom, shutter, and exposure settings, the option to take 360-degree panoramic shots, RAW image support for the pros out there, along with a manual pop-up flash, an electronic levelling gauge, the ability to shoots 1080p HD movies and a 2.8-inch LCD screen to check things out.

That's just the tip of the iceberg too, you'll be able to see all the features in action from October. Expect to pay around £500 when it does hits the shelves. Hopefully the equally stylish case will be thrown in for free too.

eBay watch: 1950s Standard Super 10 car

Posted: 02 Sep 2011 05:54 AM PDT

Standard1

Fancy giving the clutch pedal a rest? You can with this 1950s Standard Super 10 car - because it doesn't have one.

But it does have bags of personality and an eye-catching finish. The car dates back to 1956 and has 38,000 miles on that 948cc engine. Not the usual driving experience though, as it has just two pedals, losing the clutch, but keeping the gear stick - there's a button on that to 'engage' the gear. Also present is the original (working) 1950s radio console, bumpers and chrome.

Standard2

The car has apparently had a recent restoration and service, with one eye on keeping the car in its original state. Want it? The current auction price is £435.

Adidas Kopenhagen trainers reissued in navy blue suede

Posted: 02 Sep 2011 05:15 AM PDT

Kopen

The Adidas Kopenhagen has been rivalling the Adidas London for reissues of late, most recently seen in grey, as well as having Size? exclusive reissues in yellow and red. But we think this Adidas Kopenhagen in navy blue and orange is the pick of the bunch so far.

Originally a City Series shoe, dating back to 1978, this is still a really smart shoe today, especially with the navy blue suede upper, orange stripes and heel, that white sole and the ridged tongue.

Limited numbers on this reissue, with a price of £65 at End Clothing. There are other reissues from Adidas just out, including new Adidas Gazelle Indoor, Achill and Handball, details of which you can find at our His Knibs site.

Whilst I think it would be true to say that most of us are over the Keep Calm and Carry On motif, luckily the Keep Calm Gallery has some other gems in store such as this, An A to Z of New York Print.

Designed by Laura Seaby, the print gives a run-down of 26 of New York landmarks and icons, although to find one for each letter of the alphabet, it includes some less obvious choices such as Z for Zabar's. The illustrations have a vintage feel to them, which is enhanced by just being printed in yellow and blue. There is also a similar print for London should that be your favoured city destination.

The print costs £25 unframed from the Keep Calm Gallery.
